About Italian

Italian is written in the Latin alphabet, and its spelling is very regular. An accent is written only on a stressed final vowel – caffè, città – or to tell words apart (e and, è is). Letters c and g are soft before e and i (cena "chena", gelato "jelato") and hard elsewhere.
