Online Thai Keyboard – Type in Thai Instantly
All Keyboards is a free online Thai keyboard that lets you type in Thai (Thai script) directly in your browser – no software or fonts to install. Type with your own keyboard or click the on-screen keys using the standard Thai – Kedmanee layout, or simply speak and let voice typing write Thai for you. Copy the text into WhatsApp, email, Word or social media, download it as a file, print it, or translate it into English and other Indian languages in one click.
How to Use the Thai Keyboard
- Choose the layout. Keep Keyboard Type on Thai – Kedmanee to type in Thai, or switch to English – QWERTY for English.
- Or type in Roman letters. In English – QWERTY mode, type Thai words the way they sound – for example namaste – and pick the Thai word from the suggestions.
- Start typing. Click the keys of the on-screen keyboard with your mouse or finger, or type on your computer keyboard – each key produces the Thai letter printed on it, for example k → า and e → ำ.
- Use Shift and Caps Lock for more letters. They switch to the second set of characters – more consonants and the full vowels, such as ษ, ณ, ฎ and ฑ (Shift + k → ษ).
- Type by voice. Click the microphone in the text box and speak in Thai – your words appear as Thai text (works in Chrome and Edge).
- Save or share your text. Use the toolbar above the text box to start a new text, download it as a .txt file, copy, print, share it on WhatsApp or by email, work in full screen, or translate it into English and other languages.
How to Join Consonants and Vowels to Make Thai Words
Thai is written from left to right, without spaces between words. Vowels are written around the consonant – before it, after it, above or below – and four tone marks sit above the consonant. You type them in the order they are written: เ first, then ก, for เก.
Three rules to remember
- Vowel after or above: ก + า = กา (kā, crow) – press d k.
- Vowel before: เ + ก = เก (ke) – type the vowel first – press g d.
- Tone mark on top: ก + ่ + า = ก่า – the tone mark goes on the consonant – press d j k.

About the Thai Language
Thai (ภาษาไทย) is a Kra–Dai language and the official language of Thailand. It is a tonal language with five tones, so the same syllable can mean different things depending on its pitch. Thai is written in the Thai script, which came from the Old Khmer script; words are not separated by spaces, and spaces mark the end of a phrase or sentence instead. Thai has borrowed many words from Sanskrit and Pali, such as ภาษา (phasa, language – from bhāṣā).
